Philam Life has continued to work towards educating Filipinos on the importance of financial planning, savings and investments as a venue to improving their way of life.
Cognizant of the need to promote and preserve the Filipino culture, Philam Foundation never stopped at spearheading projects that spur musical and theatrical appreciation among the youth. Last Christmas for example, it produced a double CD entitled “Iyo Kailan Pa Man,” which featured kundimans and popular hits performed by the internationally-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. Featuring 12 melodious Filipino songs, the CD showcases the unique talent of the Filipino musician as well as spreads the message of peace. The funds raised from the launching of the CD would help finance the Aid for Basilan Children Fund for another year.
The Foundation likewise supported the Philippine Experimental Theater in the building of their home school, sponsorship of National Training for Young Musicians, Summer Theater Workshop for children of Philam employees and agents, Philippine Foundation for Breast Care’s Art Exhibit/Auction.
To further this vision in promoting Philippine Culture and Arts, a theater workshop for children of employees and were conducted at the Philam Life Theater in the summer of 2005. A theatrical presentation by the participants at the theater was its culminating activity. Support for sports development was also extended to the Philippine Pencak Association’s participation in the SEA’ Games, for which the Foundation was considered a sports godfather by the First Gentleman Foundation.
